Insomnia: The Four Reasons Why You’re Not Sleeping At Night, And How to Fix It

Maintaining mental and physical health is impossible if we constantly have bouts of insomnia.

Insomnia is defined as having difficulty falling asleep, waking up frequently during the night, waking up too early and not being able to get back to sleep, or waking up feeling tired and energy drained. Basically, it’s anything that’s disrupting your ability to get a good nights sleep.

There are two types of insomnia acknowledged, acute and chronic. Acute insomnia means that you have trouble sleeping in short periods that can last for days or weeks, stress usually being the trigger. This type of insomnia usually disappears on its own accord, and you return to your normal sleep patterns. But it’s also possible that acute insomnia can develop into chronic insomnia.

Chronic insomnia is more severe and involves having trouble falling asleep or staying asleep for at least three nights per week for three months or longer. Individuals with chronic insomnia can have disruptions in daytime functioning, feeling tired, irritable, anxiety, or difficulty focusing, and memory issues.

From my research, there are four causes of your sleepless nights, below I’ve outlined from the most likely cause to the least likely cause of your insomnia.

1. Magnesium Deficiency

One of the many symptoms of magnesium deficiency is the inability to sleep at night, which is typically accompanied by ever annoying night sweats. But you can’t just chug down any magnesium supplement, because “magnesium oxide”, the  cheap favorite of  “nutrition” corporations is worthless, you’ll just be throwing your money out the window.  If you buy Magnesium Glycinate, it’ll fix the issue, but if you take it in the evening, you’ll want to go run on the treadmill rather than sleep. The magnesium supplement I suggest is  Natural Vitalitys “Elemental Magnesium Citrate”. This particular magnesium will fix your sleepless nights, as well as any other magnesium deficiency related symptoms. To read about the different forms of magnesium, and which one is best for you, see my article “Magnesium: The Miracle Mineral”.

2. Internal Parasites

The idea that parasites only exist in underdeveloped countries is a myth, we all have internal parasites to some degree, especially if you live in America. Like a script taken out of a horror movie, these creepy parasites can be downright scary: roundworms, tapeworms, pinworms, whipworms, hookworms, and more. These parasites can cause a wide range of problems such as physical ailments, anxiety & depression. Some consume your food leaving you hungry, others feed off of your red blood cells causing anemia, some lay eggs in the outer part of the anus causing itching, irritability, and even insomnia.

The best way to get rid of these critters is to ingest food grade diatomaceous earth. See my article “My first two weeks on diatomaceous earth“.

3. Liver Toxicity

A toxic liver is the origin of many ailments and discomforts. Some of the sleep-depriving issues it can cause are slow digestion, gallstones, headaches, and heartburn.  Liver cirrhosis can also cause insomnia and daytime sleepiness. Fortunately, if you have hepatitis or liver cirrhosis, it can be remedied by milk thistle. See my article “Heal the Liver with Milk Thistle”.

4. Unwanted Spirits and Bad Energy

This is a controversial subject, but it’s as real and true as the sun and the moon. I had a friend who asked me for help because she could not sleep, and she didn’t know what to do. I knew she was taking magnesium so that was out of the picture, and I also knew she was taking milk thistle. But I was also one of the few people that knew that she had frequent arguments and physical altercations with her husband.

I explained to her that as long as she continued to have these altercations in her apartment bedroom, that she would build up a negative energy presence that would make it difficult to sleep or relax in that particular room. Not only that but I informed her that she could possibly attract energy-hungry disembodied spirits. Many disembodied spirits who lived a life of negativity or died in traumatic circumstances feed off of that type of energy emittance. These spirits will abide in the vicinity and cause you to argue or fight so you can create the energy for them to feed off of.

Getting rid of the energy or spirits is quite simple, all you need is some high-quality resin incense and incense charcoal.

I gave my friend a bag of mixed resin incense compromising of frankincense, copal, myrrh, and benzoin. I instructed her on how to burn it throughout the apartment. Once she finished, from that day on she slept like a log, and the sleep disturbances disappeared. See my article “How to rid your house of negative energy and spirits”.
