I’ve been using Fresh Water Food Grade Diatomaceous Earth(DE) for about 6 months, I’m still speechless about this heavenly health manna from heaven, even though I’m about to release a bunch of life-altering information about DE. But let me start from the beginning when I was still a DE newb.
My journey with diatomaceous earth(DE)began when a friend of mine suggested I start ingesting DE. When I asked her what it was she said she initially bought it as an insect repellent for fleas, but that it had health benefits from ingesting it. Trust me this REALLY “inspired” me to try it. After that it just dropped it out of my mind, but she kept pestering me about DE week after week, just nagging me but I continued to ignore her.
But after a couple of months of her using DE 3 incredible things transpired.
- Her hair was so thick and long she looked like a wolf
- She looked like she turned back the clock 20 years
- And most incredibly, DE took her off of her Hypothyroid drugs(which she was addicted too)
So now I was convinced, but I wasn’t just going to start eating dirt lol, so I started to google DE.
I can tell you that I was quite disappointed with what I found, I couldn’t find any research articles on DE, not even on PubMed. This not only intrigued me, but it made me very suspicious. Suspicious in the sense that maybe DE is something that the powers that be don’t want us to know about.
This is where the adventure begins.
Once I gave up finding research articles on DE, I started to search out blog posts and anecdotal testimonies.
I read testimonies of candida & internal parasites disappearing, hair and nails growing literally overnight, skin shining like a babe, and food allergies becoming a thing of the past. I found a couple of Youtube videos but they didn’t state anything earth-shaking in terms of health. So I finally decided to start to ingest this “dirt” myself.
OK, that’s how I started, now let me first tell you what Diatomaceous Earth is, then I’ll tell you what it doe’s, then I’ll get to the juicy details, and tell you what I have seen it do.
What is Diatomaceous Earth?
Diatomaceous earth is made from the fossilized remains of microscopic aquatic organisms called diatoms. Their skeletons are predominately composed of a natural substance called silica. Over millions of years diatoms accumulated in the sediment of rivers, streams, lakes, and oceans.
Silica is very common in nature and makes up 26% of the earth’s crust by weight. Various forms of silica include sand, emerald, quartz, feldspar, mica, clay, asbestos, and glass. Silicon, a component of silica, does not exist naturally in its pure form. It reacts with oxygen and water to form silicon dioxide, silicon dioxide has two naturally occurring forms: crystalline and amorphous. Most diatomaceous earth is made of amorphous silicon dioxide, that can possibly contain very low levels of crystalline silicon dioxide.
Is inhaling Diatomaceous Earth dangerous?
Many people are claiming on the internet that breathing diatomaceous earth is dangerous, let me clear up this misinformation. As I previously stated you have crystalline and amorphous diatomaceous earth. If you inhale amorphous diatomaceous earth, it’s rapidly eliminated from the lung tissue. However, crystalline diatomaceous earth is much smaller, and it may accumulate in lung tissue and lymph nodes, this can be dangerous.
Long-term inhalation of the crystalline form is associated with silicosis, chronic bronchitis, and other respiratory problems. The bulk of diatomaceous earth is amorphous, not crystalline.
Food grade diatomaceous earth is amorphous and not Crystalline.
Are all food grade Diatomaceous earth the same?
The Diatom is what makes diatomaceous earth special. The amorphous diatom shells shape and hardness is important to how it works. Fossilized diatom shells that are and have maintained their tubular shape is critical to its effectiveness, and they are found in freshwater deposits. Saltwater deposits contain a mixture of diatom types with different shapes, their fossilized shells are fragile and break easily, this renders them ineffective for health purposes.
Freshwater diatomaceous earths hardness keeps it from dissolving in liquid and its tubular shape and holes along the diatom’s wall allow it to absorb moisture. The diatomaceous earth you want should consist of at least 89% (and often more) Silicon Dioxide plus numerous trace minerals. The highest grade of diatomaceous earth appears almost pure white when dry and appears light tan when wet. The lower grades of diatomaceous earth often contain an excess of a particular mineral such as iron or a high percentage of clay giving it a darker color or a reddish tint. You want to avoid the darker diatomaceous earth, as it can cause chronic constipation, as well as not possessing the negative charge which attracts bacteria and viruses in the shell of the diatom to be excreted out of the body.
What happens when you ingest Food grade Diatomaceous earth?
“Officially”, when diatomaceous earth is ingested, very little is absorbed into the body, and the remaining portion is rapidly excreted. Small amounts of silica are normally present in all body tissues, and it is normal to find silicon dioxide in urine.
How do I should you take Diatomaceous Earth?
There’s really no set protocol in ingesting diatomaceous earth, but I’ve found this modality most prevalent from research. It’s best to take diatomaceous earth on an empty stomach, 1 hour before eating or 2 hours after. Start with half a teaspoon on the first night or morning and work your way up to taking 1 tablespoon. I’m on two tablespoons a day, and some people believe in continually increasing the dosage until your body rejects it. On the first day, it’s probably best to take it when you have access to a restroom because after the first night I took it I was on the porcelain throne all night. You also want to incorporate Milk Thistle by Jarrow while you’re taking diatomaceous earth to aid the liver in removing the toxins while you’re experiencing the herxheimer reaction. You can also buy Organic Milk Thistle in vegan pills from my website here. Take the Milk Thistle on an empty stomach also, do not take it with the diatomaceous earth. Some people also buy activated charcoal (take with DE) to reduce some of the herxheimer symptoms. You can get Milk Thistle here on Amazon.com, as well as activated charcoal here.
What Is The Herxheimer Reaction
The Herxheimer Reaction is an immune system response to the toxins that are released when large amounts of pathogens are being killed off, and the body does not eliminate the toxins quickly enough. It’s simply a reaction that occurs when the body is detoxifying and the released toxins either exacerbate the symptoms being treated or create their own symptoms. The important thing to note is that worsening symptoms are not an indicator of the failure of the treatment; in fact, usually just the opposite, it means it’s working.
Some of the symptoms include:
- Flu-like symptoms
- Itch and rashes
What is the health benefit of ingesting Diatomaceous Earth?
Essentially diatomaceous earth is like liquid plumber. Because of its abrasiveness, absorption properties, and negative charge, it kills internal parasites, intestinal worms, including candida by dehydration and cutting them up, while also removing heavy metals, and other dangerous micro-organisms(viruses and bacteria). By cleaning out your intestines, it allows your intestines to better be able to absorb nutrients.
What Happened to me after ingesting Diatomaceous Earth for 6 months?
Now that I’ve got all of the academic information out of the way, now I can start with the miracles.
My personal 6-month experience with diatomaceous earth has been incredible. I effortlessly lost weight, my eyesight improved, my hair became thicker while also losing some grays. My appearance has totally changed, some people say I look 19 years old. Being I didn’t have any serious health impediments, I didn’t experience any science defying results like my friends and my Youtube followers.
What happened to my friends?
One of my friends, an older woman who lives in Canada was diagnosed with type ll diabetes and high cholesterol. Within a 6 month period, she did a blood test that came back not only negative for type ll diabetes and high cholesterol but according to her allopathic doctor, her markers were well below the line. She also did a colonoscopy and they said her colon is pink and looks like a newborn.
Another friend of mine was addicted to Synthroid, the drug administered for hypothyroidism. She would convulse and have shortness of breath anytime she missed a dosage. After taking diatomaceous earth for about a month she was permanently off the Synthroid and had a full head of hair.
A Brazilian friend of mine would awaken every morning with arthritis-like pain in her hands, after the first night of taking diatomaceous earth, the pain disappeared and never returned.
I have another friend on Miami Beach who’s health was just deteriorating in every way possible, she had endemic constipation, stomach issues and suffered from horrible dyshidrotic eczema of the foot. Her feet were bloody and peeling badly, and she had to wrap them just to walk to the corner store. Within a week of taking diatomaceous earth, her health turned around, and within a month the skin on her feet was soft and supple.
I had a few other friends who had constipation issues that were also remedied by diatomaceous earth.
What did my youtube followers report?
One woman said she was scheduled to have knee replacement surgery because of osteoarthritis, within a few weeks of ingesting diatomaceous earth she canceled the surgery and regained her mobility without pain. Another follower said he recommended diatomaceous earth to a relative who had stage 4 colon cancer. The relative ingested diatomaceous earth for 4 weeks and returned to the VA Hospital for tests, and incredibly the tests came back negative, no cancer cells in his body. Another follower said someone he knew who tried to get him on diatomaceous earth said he had cured himself of skin cancer within 4 weeks also.
I don’t know how that is even possible to cure cancer, especially stage 4 cancer in 4 weeks, that is mind-boggling.
I could go on and on and on but I’ll just leave it to those few testimonies.
Is there a conspiracy to keep Diatomaceous Earth away from the Public?
I find it incredible I couldn’t find any real research on PubMed or other sources on diatomaceous earth that wasn’t related to commercial uses or animals. Not only that but there is compelling data that suggest that silica is essential for human health although the Food and Nutrition Board have not implemented any Reference Daily Intake (RDI) for silica.
With that being said according to this PubMed article, “a deficiency in silica induces deformities in the skull and peripheral bones, poorly formed joints, reduced contents of cartilage, collagen, and disruption of mineral balance in the femur and vertebrae. Very little toxicity data exist regarding aqueous silica consumption due, in part, to the lack of anecdotal reports of toxicity and general presumption of safety. However, a few rodent studies have been conducted, which indicate a No Observed Adverse Effects Level (NOAEL) of 50,000 ppm (mg/L) for dietary silica. In conclusion, many forms of silica exist in nature and compelling data support myriad beneficial effects of silica in water.”
Tentatively I believe diatomaceous earth, directly and indirectly, can heal anything. I think once it removes the parasites, worms, and bacteria from the intestines, the body can not only properly ingest nutrition, but it can then heal itself. After being on diatomaceous earth for 6 months, and observing its effect on myself and others, I believe that it is possible that nearly all diseases genesis can be found in internal parasites and candida.
I believe the same money in the GMO’s, pesticides and pharmaceuticals is the same money keeping diatomaceous earth out of the eyes of the public.
