Update: How to cure Type 2 Diabetes

diabetes

Type 2 diabetes is a condition where your pancreas cannot produce enough insulin for the amount of sugar you ingest. Unfortunately today, most people are not even getting sugar they are getting GMOs like high fructose corn syrup derived from GMO corn.

Type 2 diabetes is an impairment in the way the body regulates and uses sugar (glucose) as a fuel. This chronic long-term condition results in too much sugar circulating in the bloodstream. Eventually, high blood sugar levels can lead to disorders of the circulatory, nervous, and immune systems.

Type 2 diabetes primarily has two interrelated problems at work. 1# your pancreas does not produce enough insulin, a hormone that regulates the movement of sugar into your cells, and 2#, the cells respond poorly to insulin and take in less sugar.

Type 2 diabetes used to be known as adult-onset diabetes, but both type 1 and type 2 diabetes can begin during childhood and adulthood. Type 2 is more common in older adults, but the increase in the number of children with obesity has led to more cases of type 2 diabetes in younger people.

What is causing type 2 diabetes?

Unfortunately today, we’re not even getting sugar, we are primarily ingesting high fructose corn syrup or beet sugar which is derived from genetically engineered corn and GMO beets. The primary cause of type 2 diabetes is the majority of people today and kids are bombarding their bodies with processed foods, bread, and pasties that possess little nutritional value, and have hidden and/or added GMO sugar derivatives. Water has been supplanted by sodas loaded with incredible amounts of GMO sugar derivatives.

These sugar derivatives are added because the food manufacturers know that these GMO sugar derivatives are additive to the brain. Which in turn will make an individual addicted to their products

There have been studies that show sugar is more addictive than cocaine, so what does that say about high fructose corn syrup.

Symptoms of type 2 diabetes:
  • Increased thirst
  • Frequent urination
  • Increased hunger
  • Unintended weight loss
  • Fatigue
  • Blurred vision
  • Slow-healing sores
  • Frequent infections
  • Numbness or tingling in the hands or feet
  • Areas of darkened skin, usually in the armpits and neck

So how do I remedy type 2 diabetes?

First, stop eating all foods with added sugar, and read the labels. The labels will tell you how much total sugar is in a product, and under it, it will tell you how much added sugar is included. Stop drinking sodas, these are the primary beasts causing diabetes. Drink water and natural juices that are not from concentrate, and include the natural fiber and pulp.

When you drink concentrated juices with added sugar there is no pulp and fiber to buffer the sugar entering your bloodstream causing insulin spikes, this problem doesn’t exist with juices that still possess their natural fiber.

Buy European bread from European bakeries, most of them do not put added sugars in their bread and only use 4 or 5 ingredients. Eat wholesale organic foods, cook more, and try to eliminate processed foods. Avoid refined carbohydrates such as white flour, white sugar, and aspartame.

If you follow this protocol, there is a strong probability your pancreas will heal and your diabetic symptoms will subside. If not, follow the directions below.

Magnesium

Diabetics are typically grossly deficient in magnesium.

A study from Brazil has identified a link between diabetes mellitus and magnesium intake. The clinical study, which examined 51 patients with type 2 diabetes, measured blood glucose levels after fasting and then after eating.

In healthy people, the level of blood glucose rises after eating, and the pancreas naturally releases insulin to prevent these levels from becoming too high. The study found that those patients who had the highest blood glucose levels after fasting for eight hours were those with the lowest levels of magnesium in the blood, and the highest levels of magnesium being excreted from the body through urine.

The patients with the highest blood magnesium levels were also typically the ones with the lowest blood glucose levels both after fasting and after eating. This suggests that increasing the intake and absorption of magnesium could play a key role in battling diabetes.

A strong association between magnesium and diabetes

Magnesium may be a factor in predicting and catching diabetes. According to the book The Magnesium Miracle by Carolyn Dean, MD, ND, low magnesium levels can serve as an early marker for diabetes. Doctors can test the magnesium levels in your red blood cells.

Three major studies (Harvard Nurses’ Health Study, Health Professionals Follow-Up Study, and Iowa Women’s Health Study) all noted that people with the highest magnesium in their diets had the lowest risk for developing diabetes, Dr. Dean noted. The University of Maryland Medical Center also confirms that several clinical studies have strongly associated low magnesium levels in the blood with Type 2 diabetes.

So how exactly does magnesium affect diabetes?

Insulin requires magnesium to do its job and to be properly secreted from the pancreas. Magnesium is also needed to allow blood sugar to enter the cells, instead of staying in the bloodstream. Dr. Dean indicates that lack of magnesium increases the risk for cardiovascular disease, eye symptoms, and nerve damage in diabetics.

Can magnesium supplementation help prevent Type 2 diabetes?

Research shows magnesium may indeed be a useful prevention tool, as studies on rats who were predisposed to Type 2 diabetes yielded promising results. Studies have also examined people on magnesium-rich diets and found that their risk for diabetes was decreased.

This was reinforced by a second study, published in 2012, which identified magnesium as potentially the most important factor in managing and preventing diabetes.

Which magnesium supplements should I take?

Avoid magnesium oxide like the plague, it has little to know bioavailability to the body. You want to get magnesium glycinate, magnesium citrate, magnesium gluconate, or magnesium chloride.

See my article “Magnesium: The miracle mineral“.

Milk Thistle

Milk thistle has long been used as a herbal remedy for a number of disorders. It is usually consumed in the form of its extract Silymarin. Silymarin is anti-inflammatory and an antioxidant, it also reduces blood cholesterol. It has come to be popular because of being hypoglycaemic, which means it may help lower blood sugar levels by improving insulin sensitivity in patients with type-2 diabetes.

Some studies on diabetic animals have shown that silymarin can trigger the pancreas to produce more insulin, in order to regulate blood glucose levels. A review and analysis of some studies found that silymarin people who regularly consumed milk thistle extracts experienced a reduction in their fasting blood sugar levels as well as their levels of glycated hemoglobinThe antioxidant properties in milk thistle may also help in preventing further complications like heart and kidney complications in type-2 diabetes patients.

Milk Thistle by Jarrow is the best Milk thistle product I have encountered.

Powdered Black Seeds

Powdered black seeds, nigella sativa, have been shown in research to reverse type 2 diabetes.

A total of 94 patient were recruited and divided randomly into three dose groups. Capsules containing Nigella sativa were administered orally in a dose of 1, 2 and 3 gm/day for three months. The effect of Nigella sativa on the glycemic control was assessed through measurement of fasting blood glucose (FBG), blood glucose level 2 hours postprandially (2 hPG), and glycosylated hemoglobin (HbA1c). Serum C-peptide and changes in body weight were also measured. Insulin resistance and beta-cell function were calculated usin the homeostatic model assessment (HOMA2). Nigella sativa at a dose of 2 gm/day caused significant reductions in FBG, 2hPG, and HbA1 without significant change in body weight. Fasting blood glucose was reduced by an average of 45, 62 and 56 mg/dl at 4, 8 and 12 weeks respectively. HbAlC was reduced by 1.52% at the end of the 12 weeks of treatment (P<0.0001). Insulin resistance calculated by HOMA2 was reduced significantly (P<0.01), while B-cell function was increased (P<0.02) at 12 weeks of treatment.

You should definitely read the whole PubMed research article. If you would like to purchase organic powdered black seeds you can purchase them directly on my website here or if you want them in 90 vegan pills you can get them from my website here. Or you can get them here from my Etsy store.

See my article “The magical health properties are not in the oil but the powdered seeds“.
